Although the sweetness and sour topping was good, the texture and flavor of the meat was disappointing. Likewise many cracker crumbs made it dry, and the meat was very bland. Afterward making this, I compared this recipe to some others and institute that, when dry out bread crumbs or cracker crumbs were used, the other recipes used just 1/2 cup of cracker crumbs and more often than not seasonings were added then that the meat wouldn't be banal (garlic, horseradish, worchestershire sauce, etc.) This is Not the ultimate meatloaf!
09/18/2002
This was my first meatloaf and it turned out fantastic! I did however employ footing beef instead and I did not take an onion on manus so I used half a parcel of onion soup mix and breadcrumbs instead of cracker crumbs, ketchup instead of tomato sauce. I was afraid that ane/2 cup of brown sugar would be as well much because of the ketchup and so I used 1/4 cup instead for the sauce and I did not use any vinegar in the sauce...still it turned out perfect!
07/20/2007
Good. There is way to much sauce. I would half it next time.
eleven/xvi/2006
I have been making this recipe for about iv years and information technology is ever a huge hit!! I get asked on a weekly ground but I usually make i-2 times a month. I utilise the recipe every bit stated except I use ground beefiness and when it is formed in the pan I accept my finger and poke almost iii-4 holes through the top down the middle, this just allows more than of the sauce to absorb. I also add iii/4 cup chocolate-brown sugar instead of 1/two and sometimes I fifty-fifty sprinkle a little on the top of the meatloaf. When we cut and serve I take the sauce from the pan and we spoon over our meatloaf equally a sauce. Anybody that doesn't like meatloaf definitly try this one, information technology tastes cipher like the traditional. Hopefully many more will discover this recipe to be great!!!!!!
x/25/2002
i had never tasted nor made a brown sugar meatloaf before. this recipe was very piece of cake to brand. i followed it give-and-take-for-discussion, and the results were very tasty! the loaf itself was moist and yummy. the sauce was too sweet, and since there was lots of it, i tuckered if off the adjacent time. i look forward to making it over again with less brown sugar. i don't know that i'd modify annihilation else.
11/27/2004
Kim, this meatloaf was fabulous! It was and then moist, unlike virtually meatloafs I have tried. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the sauce to continue summit was excessive. Literally of course. I poured the sauce over and nevertheless had a lot left, so I waited to see if I needed it while in the oven thinking that maybe the sauce would evaporate or absorb into the loaf. It didn't. You could probably half the sauce and information technology would be fine. Merely this was still the all-time meatloaf nosotros have e'er had. A keeper!!!
02/26/2011
Simply wonderful!!! I did add nigh 7 cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped and finely diced red bell pepper to the mix. I also used panko breadstuff crumbs in place of the crackers. I took others advice and omitted the water. The meatloaf of juicy and very flavorful. I will definitely make this again. Information technology's a keeper!
06/27/2007
Wow -- this was the best meatloaf I accept ever fabricated, and I've made many recipes! I used lean basis turkey, and bread crumbs instead of crackers. I only had diced tomatoes on manus, no sauce, but I think I will do this once again this fashion -- they chunky tomatoes were fantastic. I too followed other readers' proposition and halved the sauce, but next time I'll exercise the original amount (perchance information technology'due south less because of the chunky tomatoes). I baked it in a brownie pan in a dome-shape, and would have enjoyed more sauce to encompass it. The sauce is delicious! Very tangy and flavorful. My married man HATES meatloaf, and he gobbled this up and went back for seconds! And no ketchup needed! I am adding this to my rotation!
03/06/2011
Made this for my hubby and followed the recipe exactly. I probably should take read the reviews first and omitted the h2o (information technology isn't needed) and cut the sugar by one-half. The recipe is WAY as well sweetness otherwise. My husband said it tasted as though someone had poured processed all over the meatloaf. We couldn't eat information technology - what a waste product of time and money.
11/23/2010
I used italian bread crumbs and but a i/4 cup water! It is much better with the italian bread crumbs! It has a much better flavor! The best I have ever made and I'm one of those people that doesn't like anything she makes!
10/22/2010
I used one lb. of lamb and ane/2 lb. of ground pork. I used two slices of dried bread crumbs instead of crackers, and added diced onion to the meat meatloaf. The sauce was way likewise watery. There was too a bunch of grease on summit since the meat was a chip fatty. Side by side fourth dimension I might bake it for 20 minutes then drain the fat off before I add the sauce(minus about 2/three of the water or more).
08/13/2002
Nosotros liked this meatloaf recipe alot!! It made also much liquid though and so I made a note next fourth dimension to use 1/2 loving cup water and perhaps a little less brownish sugar.
10/30/2010
Too sweet.........
xi/14/2005
I loved this meatloaf! So did my husband. Since lots of people suggested the sauce was too much, I cut it in half -- and had about i/4 c. left over -- and besides used oatmeal instead of cracker crumbs. Moist, with only a hint of sweetness. Yummy!
x/12/2010
I used a combination of ground beef, ground veal and basis pork as well as Italian bread crumbs rather than the cracker crumbs
07/xix/2010
Great Recipe!!! Kids loved it.
08/29/2006
Wish I would have left the water out similar reviewers suggested! Information technology was pretty adept anyway, I merely left it in the oven longer. I'll make this again because it's then easy and I'm certain it will be even ameliorate next time w/o water!
05/13/2008
This was absolutely delicious! I did make a few changes - I used footing beef, Panko staff of life crumbs instead of cracker crumbs - and i did poke holes in the meatloaf as someone else had suggested. I did non find that there was as well much sauce equally someone else mentioned - it was perfect! Thank you for a great recipe!
09/14/2010
I Love this recipe, tonight was the first fourth dimension I used this recipe. I used hamburger meat, it turned out great, meat was moist, coat on height was wonderful. Yet, I did non add the water and cut the corporeality of crushed crackers by half.
07/09/2011
It was good- but way way to much sauce, the meat was a fiddling soggy- I wouldnt brand this again
11/fourteen/2004
This was an easy recipe (especially for a culinary-challenged college student like myself) and turned out delicious! My roommates and I made but the meatloaf office (not the sauce), with the addition of some garlic, and the meatloaf was improve than anything nosotros had eaten in a while. I would be careful, equally the meatloaf was 'soggy' or very moist, but we cooked it a little longer at a lower temperature and everything was ok.
01/03/2007
I should have read the reviews before I made this... Manner besides juicy. Too I learned in hereafter attempts when you put your meat in the pan class a ball that doesn't touch the edge of the pan - you will get improve results from the meatloaf and a nice chaff on three sides.
08/10/2001
I idea it was a bit besides sweet... I would cut the dark-brown sugar in half next time. Otherwise, not bad.
12/20/2004
I have fabricated this meatloaf a couple times now. My husband is a big meatloaf fan. This is very good and easy to make. Perhaps other reviewers didn't care for the sweet and sour taste, I recommend this. Another reviewer mentioned the meat overflowed out of the pan, well mayhap a larger pan would make sense. I bought a wonderful loaf pan from One thousand-mart, fabricated past Martha Stewart. It is larger than your average pan and works great with quickbreads also. Thank yous for a super meatloaf recipe !
02/13/2001
Being British, this was an excellent choice of meat, I constitute it to be very delicious just the way Kim has information technology laid out. I made no changes and loved it. The kids however were not as thrilled simply that'southward kids, the adults loved it. Keven
06/17/2011
I fabricated this with ground beef and used ketchup instead of lycopersicon esculentum sauce because I beloved ketchup and can't imagine eating meatloaf without it. Information technology tasted amazing, the best meatloaf I've ever had! The only matter I didn't like was the amount of liquid in the bottom of the pan. Side by side time I don't recall I'll add together any water at all to the sauce topping. Other than the actress liquid, it had astonishing sense of taste and texture.
02/04/2002
My married man and I loved this recipe. I used one-half ground turkey and half basis turkey sausage and used stewed tomatoes instead of tomato sauce. My married man fifty-fifty said "I didn't know turkey could gustatory modality so good". This recipe was nifty and like shooting fish in a barrel. I will definitely make again!
02/x/2003
With the exception of substituting quick oats for cracker crumbs I followed this recipe to the alphabetic character. I questioned the cup of water in the sauce as I idea it was as well much water and fabricated the sauce sparse but it was perfect. My son, who would never eat meatloaf consented to take a seize with teeth and loved it. His verbal words were, "It'due south the bomb, Mom!" For those who aren't in the know, that is high praise. There were no leftovers then I can't testify to their goodness but I will be making this one again.
10/17/2002
Meatloaf never tasted this skilful. My friends couldn't believe how moist and "un-meatloaf similar" this recipe turned out to be. Add a lilliputian red pepper to it for boot and information technology'southward perfect.
05/26/2003
This was horrible. The but reason that I am not giving it a one star is because my husband did eat his serving just I just call back he didn't want to make me experience bad. I, even so, took one bite and that was it. The recipe said you could substitute any ground meat so I used basis turkey. There is something off on the sauce. I followed the directions and information technology fabricated so much that it was overflowing in the loaf pan. I only used half of the sauce (which was actually the consistency of water) and then half way through cooking I poured the rest off the tiptop of the loaf. The meatloaf itself was so soggy when cooked through. I am sorry but this recipe but didn't piece of work or gustatory modality well.
04/03/2007
I fabricated this meatloaf last night, which happenend to be the commencement time I've ever fabricated meatloaf at all and it was delicious! I added a dark-green pepper to information technology and should take added more than table salt to taste but I'm learning every bit I go. Very easy and will definitely make again!
05/07/2010
Delicious! ..I did withal mess up and merely add i/2 cup of cracker crumbs...couldn't tell though..merely realized it when i went to arrive again and i still had so much of the staff of life crumbs left lol. I used italian staff of life crumbs, garlic & herb tomato sauce, and ane package of mccormick'south meatloaf seasoning to requite the meat a little more flavor. Not big changes but large results.... this is going to be something i brand weekly! The sauce is Amazing!
01/05/2007
This is my husbands favorite meatloaf. I use ground turkey and less brown sugar than the original recipe calls for. Really easy, and really tasty. It does make quite a scrap of sauce, so don't use a loaf pan that's likewise modest.
02/12/2006
Any meatloaf recipe I've had over the years lacks taste. I've made this ane over and over, always changing things upwards with either ground turkey or one-half ground turkey and one-half ground round. Information technology's always moist and flavorful. I make my own bread crumbs instead of using cracker crumbs. The outcome is about the same. Also, I cut back on the dark-brown sugar (I use dark.) because otherwise, it's a little too sugariness, and my married man and I similar to utilize horseradish mustard for extra kick. It'due south a winner every time!
09/09/2002
This was a bully recipe. My husband LOVED it. It was very quick and easy to make. I didn't have any lycopersicon esculentum sauce on hand and then I substituted it with ketchup. It notwithstanding turned out delicious. Next time I will apply the tomato sauce and I await it will taste even improve. I gave a re-create of the recipe to my female parent who is eager to try it. Thanks alot for such a great recipe that volition remain in my family for years to come.
01/12/2008
This meatloaf is very very good! 1 suggestion I have is to leave out the water altogether. Information technology is already very moist without the h2o, so I tin can't imagine information technology with a whole cup! My xv month old absolutely loves it and can't get enough, not to mention my married man! I accept already made this twice, and plan to definitely make it again!
09/20/2006
I used ground turkey, very tasty and moist. I did follow the other reviews and halved the topping sauce. Will use recipe again, thank you!
11/03/2006
This will now exist a staple in our home! I made this for the commencement fourth dimension terminal dark.I had unexpected guests and was terrifed it would sense of taste good, but it was a striking! The only change that I fabricated was I used balsamic instead of regular vinegar and I put a scrap of it in the meat. I used turkey. I used the water in the sauce and basted the meat loaf with the sauce that was in the pan and this worked great. It actually cooked for about 1 hour twenty min. This is a bang-up recipe! Simply a side note, this is the kickoff meatloaf I have ever made. Thank you lot.
02/06/2003
Excellent recipe! I did make a few changes though. I used 1 lb beef & one/two lb ground pork. Likewise, I felt the quantity of the sauce was a fleck much, and so I used 1/2 C water and 1/4 brown sugar (left the original measurements with the remaining ingredients).
04/26/2007
I made this with Craven. It was good. Different than the normal meat loaf. I will make this again but less liquid!
x/09/2007
This was very tasty. But very very watery. cut the liquid. I kept cooking and the liquid never cooked off. I made this with turkey and it worked very well. It has bully flavor just again, toooo much liquid.
eleven/xx/2008
Great recipe! Omitted the water (definitely not needed) and used bread crumbs in identify of cracker crumbs. Next time will cut the saccharide in one-half. Was too sweet for our tastes. Always looking for new recipes for lamb and will definitely brand once more.
08/26/2013
Love this recipe, I won't brand meatloaf any other way. I've been making this for at least four years now. I use ground beef and staff of life crumbs instead of cracker crumbs. I also use apple tree cider vinegar. My husband LOVES saucy nutrient so I actually DOUBLE the sauce portion and bake information technology in a 9x13 pan. We spoon the extra sauce over egg noodles or mashed potatoes. A huge family favorite, even the kids love this.
x/xxx/2007
This was good. I made meatloaf "muffins" in my muffin pan bc I didnt have a loaf pan and it was smashing. I used Garlic and Herb breadcrumbs instead of crackers and omitted the water for the glaze. The kids and husband all loved information technology. I used footing turkey meat.
02/22/2007
I started with this equally the basic recipe but made lots of changes, and information technology came out fantastic. I used ground turkey and two eggs instead of i, and cut upwardly the ends from a loaf of crusty staff of life instead of using cracker crumbs. I added 2 stalks of celery, and I put about 2-3 tbs of ketchup and 1 package of french onion soup mis in the meatloaf as well to give it extra flavor. I didn't make the tomato topping, but topped it with french onion soup mix and sour cream instead since i was serving it with borscht. Ok so basically what I made turned out to be a completely different recipe than this one! Just it came out very good for my outset meatloaf try!
08/27/2001
This is the best meatloaf I've ever fabricated. Everyone loved it. My daughter wasn't to big on it, but shes a picky eater. I volition definiately make this again!!
12/25/2006
We did this for Christmas brunch - and I got more compliments than I ordinarily become for doing the traditional turkey! I fabricated it with ground turkey/one/4 basis chuck. I cut back the chocolate-brown saccharide to 1/four, and added ruby pepper to the acme for some boosted kick. The family unit loved it. My hubby did non even need whatsoever ketchup for his meatloaf!!
xi/17/2003
This was Not expert!!!! Will not make again Also sloppy and as well sweetness.
05/20/2005
This was my starting time meatloaf and it was fantastic! Super easy to make and my husband loved information technology. I didn't add water, only used a footling extra tomato sauce.
04/12/2006
Having a definate twist to traditional meatloaf recipies, it's sweeter and more moist due to the sauce that bakes right in. I used all ground beef, rather than the lamb. I'd definately recommend it every bit I've been asked for the recipie by people who don't typically 'jump for joy' when meatloaf is being served!
02/25/2001
This was the commencement meatloaf i have ever fabricated, and information technology turned out to be a success. I'm not yeat eighteen, and was aprehensive almost how the meatloaf would turn out being that i misread the amount of meat the recipe called for and added too much. But my older sister and my dad loved it. My mom, who is a lite eater, enjoyed a portion, and my poppop, who is one of the best cooks in my family unit, was pleased every bit well. I idea it to exist squeamish and sweet and it was even more delicious the day after it was made. I too institute that a small can of stewed tomatoes is an excellent replacement for the tomato sauce. I am currently in the process of disarming my younger sis and my brother-in-law who despise meatloaf to attempt it. I'm sure they will dearest it as well. To Kim, whoever and wherever you are, your recipie rocks!!!
02/03/2005
I thought I made enough for leftovers, but by the cease of the night we had finished it all!
11/x/2004
I've been making Kim'due south meat loaf for well-nigh 7 or 8 years. The all-time meat loaf ever. The only things I've inverse is I use beef, and I don't use any h2o in the sauce. Fantastic
06/01/2006
I used ground turkey for this recipe. Added some fresh garlic and italian seasoning to the turkey. Also, for the sauce, simply omit the water, and it will plow out perfect.....just plain yummy!
12/12/2007
This recipe is very flavorful, moist and delicious! I honey the sweet-tangy sauce and like another user suggested, I put holes in the loaf using my finger, then poured the sauce over it. Doing this allows the loaf to absorb a groovy amount of the yummy sauce.
01/17/2007
I used turkey and this was very good. I did use less water equally suggested past other reviewers, and even and so I even so only used half the sauce on top of the meatloaf. Likewise, I used tomato sauce that already had garlic and oregano in information technology - it helped to add more flavor. Yum!
10/04/2006
Really enjoyed this recipe. Great complimentary flavors, especially the brownish sugar confronting the vinegar in the suace. Used turkey instead of the lamb, which for me was gilt. Recipe makes a little too much of the jus, boiled over in the oven.
01/08/2007
This recipe turned out delicious. I was hesitant to make it because I hadn't made a meatloaf with these ingredients earlier (like vingar, brown sugar etc.) but information technology turned out cracking! My husband loved it, and my daughter clamored for more.
07/31/2008
I fabricated this exactly every bit listed except I used footing beefiness instead of lamb. I must say I was disappointed. I take to agree with others that the water should have been omitted. Fifty-fifty then, though, I'm non certain this would have been a keeper. Information technology just didn't accept that zing or tongue "WOW" factor.
10/25/2005
My married man has been complaining for xiii years that I don't brand meatloaf similar his mom's...until now! Cheers for sharing!
03/25/2008
I used ground turkey, and diced tomatoes instead of sauce (was out), and simply one-half the water, per reviews. Very skilful!
01/04/2009
Hmmm...does minced lamb accept longer to cook than does beefiness? My meatloaf was undercooked after 80 minutes in the oven. I agree with other reviewers that there was WAY also much sauce and very watery. Perhaps using ketchup or part ketchup instead of sauce would help. I did cutting the water in half, but it wasn't plenty. The sauce barely fit in the pan with the meatloaf and and then was likewise runny and greasy. I may endeavour this again, but with many adjustments.
10/07/2008
I use ground turkey and omit the water. My family actually likes this meatloaf and accept fabricated this several times.
05/06/2010
kid's favorite! I use turkey instead of lamb, add ane chopped light-green pepper, and leave out the water in the sauce.
05/05/2008
I took the advice of another reviewer and changed this to make it my ain and it was fantastic and so I am not certain how information technology would gustatory modality fabricated exactly the way information technology was written. This is what I changed/did; I used basis Turkey, used a white onion, exchanged tomato sauce for Classico pasta sauce, exchanged crackers for 1/2 cup Italian breadstuff crumbs, used tarragon vinegar, used Dijon, added a fine chopped dark-green bong pepper, four garlic cloves and a tsp hot sauce. I also left out the water. All-time meatloaf I have ever made and my husband loved it and he isn't a big meatloaf person.
09/xi/2002
This meatloaf is great it made a change for me and my family I usually make meatloaf that has a lot of tomato flavor simply this one has a nice sweet glaze . I used basis beef instead of lamb.Even my picky two twelvemonth made a "happy plate"!
x/27/2013
This is delicious! I advise double the sauce recipe add one/ii the h2o, put some of the sauce in the meat, pour some over the loaf & rut up what'southward left of the sauce & pour over individual servings! Im about to eat this entire loaf to myself & Im not exaggerating. I made it with footing beef & the ingredients I had on mitt I used dijon mustard & I think it gave information technology an fifty-fifty better sense of taste. Also I used traditional pasta sauce, it is prepared with a few herbs in information technology. I think the pocket-size difference in ingredients I used made a huge difference in flavor. & I will be cooking information technology again!! sticking with the original recipe & the closest ingredients I have, I'k just uping & thickening that yummy sauce & putting some in the meat, my only adjustments. Oh & I used saltine crackers, it wasnt specific but if it said breadstuff crumbs I'd take skipped this yummy meat loaf. It's and then good!! This is my commencement time making meat loaf & this is at present my get to recipe. I take never had a improve meatloaf, I dear the flavour of the mustard & saccharide.
02/07/2008
I bought some ground turkey and wanted a new recipe to try - tired of the turkey meatballs. I made this last dark and it is delicious. I omitted the water; substitued bread crumbs for the crackers and ran out of onion so, I used onion pulverisation instead. I likewise added some garlic. Yummy!!! Thanks for sharing.
06/18/2010
My family is non big on meatloaf, but I wanted something different for supper. I used ground beef, and decreased the water to 1/2 loving cup. As it was, my loaf pan was virtually overflowing. During cooking I scooped off some of the sauce because it looked similar a lot. Just so my family complained that there was not enough sauce! More sauce would have been good for our mashed potatoes. Everybody liked it and I will make this again.
01/26/2013
Delicious flavors in this, made with half lamb and half ground beef. As others have posted, mode too much sauce/liquid as written. I think perhaps cut the h2o completely is the style to go, if y'all're using tomato sauce (I used some Muir Glen pasta sauce, worked well); might exist that it should have been that h2o + some tomato *paste*? Not sure, but all in all, will make once more with the aligning of cutting the h2o.
11/29/2004
Amazing! I halfed the ingredients for the sauce and turned out to be the best meatloaf I've ever had!
05/23/2003
I was very disappointed with this recipe. I was expecting something very delicious according to all of the other reviews--we institute this to exist very bland in flavor and didn't really intendance for at all. Sorry, won't be making this one once again.
04/14/2005
This recipe was very unique only adept, I never had meatlaof similar this. My fiance wasn't sure he would like this, he ate it upward like crazy. I fabricated it with homemade mashed potatoes. Thanks for the bully recipe, it is a keeper in my books.
01/19/2005
My family unit usually will not eat meatloaf, BUT they loved this. It was very easy to make and I will brand this again!
11/20/2007
I fabricated this meatloaf with ground turkey and it turned out succulent. The flavor is unexpectedly sweet and tangy – not at all similar the typical thick, ketchup based sauce that coats most meatloaf. I had never tasted one with a brown sugar/vinegar sauce before, then at kickoff bite, the flavor threw me off. Information technology actually grew on me though, and now this is my go-to recipe. But beware if you lot're expecting mom's downhome meatloaf, because this is much more exotic.
09/21/2006
I make this all the fourth dimension...the kids love it....reduce the ingredients for the gravy.
01/28/2008
Very Good! The whole fam enjoyed information technology.
01/20/2003
VERY Good meat loaf!! I loved the Glaze but the remainder of my family unit prefered it wothough so side by side fourth dimension i will try the same recipie without the glaze!!
11/03/2002
My family loves my meatloaf, merely this is by far the best recipe ever. My married man did not care for the sauce, but the kids and I loved it! Tastes fifty-fifty better as leftovers.
04/01/2003
This recipie was amazing!!! This meatloaf left my husbend, father and family unit friend asking for more and the recipie.
10/24/2007
Best meatloaf ever!!
ten/24/2006
I liked the flavor a lot, but it was a little likewise moist. I made information technology with ground chicken, maybe that had something to do with it?
02/08/2006
Delicious for my kickoff turkey meatloaf! Since I didn't have much meat on hand, I added lots of steamed carrots and peas to bulk it up. I used half white vinegar-half balsamic vinaigrette for the sauce topping and the whole affair was scrumptious!
03/06/2006
I've never fabricated meatloaf but this was amazing! I used turkey, decreased water and saccharide corporeality. I substituted 1/4 c of the bread crumbs for wheat germ to make information technology healthier. It was super moist, non stiff at all. Melts in the mouth!
03/01/2008
Just finished this and made the fault of not reading the reviews get-go. FAR TOO MUCH LIQUID!!! That is really my but complaint. Neither my wife nor I like meatloaf and we really enjoyed this. (She's in the kitchen correct now picking at what's left) Definitely not your typical meatloaf! Juicy and delicious. We, like so many others, used basis turkey. Side by side time, I may endeavor either cut out the water in the liquid or just using office of the overall. And my wife says, "rename it" because it'due south too good to be chosen "meatloaf".
08/04/2007
I've used this recipe for years and it ever gets raves! I add 2 or 3 teaspoons of worchestershire sauce to the glaze.
03/07/2005
Needs less liquid, and more to exist siphoned off after cooking, but delicious! I used turkey.
01/14/2013
Lamb! Pecker loved this. Leftovers makes peachy sandwiches.
09/12/2005
Easy to make recipe. Made some alterations such every bit using turkey and added some boosted spices. The meat itself was keen, but the sauce was too sweet. The once again, I don't like to gustation "sweetness" on ground turkey. Recommend to either cut down the sugar or not have it at all. A little tomato sauce as a topping works well!
07/05/2006
delicious!
08/fifteen/2007
I used turkey and followed this recipe to the letter merely information technology was very disappointing. This was the showtime time my kids didn't want dinner and my hubby took forever to finish his. There was also much sugar and also much liquid but not enough season.
02/15/2019
I used 1/2 loving cup of h2o and basis lamb. It was delicious and I will definitely make information technology again!
11/15/2015
Love information technology! This is one of our family favorites!
07/02/2017
Dandy basic meatloaf recipe. Later on reading the recipe thoroughly before I prepared it, The volume of topping appeared to be more than than was necessary. I adjusted the recipe by adding a one-half a pound of basis pork and vi ounces of ground beef. Because I like oregano with my lamb I added a teaspoon of Mediterranean oregano. I used a two pound loaf pan, I had 1/2 inch of infinite for the topping. Shrinkage will permit the book of topping to seep into meat.
12/eighteen/2006
This is my husband'southward favorite meatloaf! I use 2 lbs ground beef and keep all of the other measurements the same. I use balsamic vinegar in the sauce, pat the meat into a foursquare glass pan with an indent in the centre, then poke holes with my finger throughout so some of the sauce soaks in. Bake it for 1 one/2 hours at 375. Wonderfully sweet and tangy and the sauce goes swell with mashed potatoes too, which are a must with meatloaf in our business firm!
08/09/2016
I accept been making this meatloaf for a couple of years now, anybody loves it. I practice not add the water and non a whole cup of crackers. Turns out moist and yummy every time.

Very good-nosotros all loved information technology! I used 1 pound of footing lamb and 1 pound of ground beef. Added an extra egg a lilliputian extra crackers some garlic powder and Italian spices. Used the sauce as written and fabricated it in an 8 x 8 pan. Perfect amount of sauce that way - and nosotros devoured it.

Nice gentle sweet flavor, I didn't have cracker crumbs off hand, so I just used regular breadstuff crumbs instead. Yummy!
